Repair was carried out according to Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SOS-3 that was approved by Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping
Belzona Facts
The customer was skeptical at first about using polymer materials. Due to proven experiences in carrying out such repairs and independent tests on physical and mechanical properties of Belzona materials done by state enterprises, the customer agreed to the repair. A significant amount of time was saved in comparison to traditional repairs. Moreover, the only alternative repair method, which would be to replace the rudder completely, would result in substantial costs.
