Application Situation
High Density (HD) cleaner cone.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-7 for bonding and grouting tiles and wear plates. The cone was blasted to prepare the surface before application. Belzona 1121 was applied with an applicator, filling all the worn areas and reprofiling the cast iron. Belzona 9811 was bonded to Belzona 1812 and grouted in between the tiles after they were all bonded.

Belzona 1121 is a two-component, paste grade material based on a ceramic steel reinforced polymer system. This fully machinable product provides a cost effective solution to general engineering repairs. Belzona 1812 is a two-component repair and protective coating for the protection of surfaces subject to abrasive attack. Belzona 9811 is supplied on a flexible mat that is easily bonded to create a hard wearing abrasion resistant lining capable of forming many different contours. These tiles are bonded into place and grouted with Belzona materials to form a high performance abrasion resistant system.
