Problem: One of the bearings on this office building’s air handler system failed and severely gouged into the fan's shaft. The cooling system was nearly crippled with a triple digit, Midwest July heat.

Application Situation
Bearing seized for air handling equipment. 
Application Method
The shaft was supported and the pillow block was removed, exposing the damaged area. A suitable former was treated with Belzona 9411 and the bearing surface was roughened and degreased. Belzona 1111 was mixed and applied, then the form was clamped in place. After a short cure, a new bearing was installed and the air handler was placed back on-line. The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet MPT-2.
Belzona Facts
The bearing seized after business hours the night before. The maintenance staff knew about Belzona's emergency shaft repair so they called the local Belzona Distributor/Consultant for a repair the next morning.
