Chemicals had attacked the concrete

 
 

Problem:

Acids and caustic mixture had eroded the concrete and EPA made the client repair the concrete so Mercury would not accumulate on the floor.

Belzona® 4111 (Magma Quartz)

Belzona® 5811 (Immersion Grade)

Application Method:

Application was carried out using a modified Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FPA-1. A slurry mix of  Belzona® 4111 was used to level floor before coating with Belzona® 5811 with non-slip Aggregate.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

Previous coatings had failed and allowed concrete deterioration. Chosen Belzona system provided the levels required together with excellent resistance to the chemicals involved.
