Application Situation
Replacement new vertical storm water pump
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP-3 and CEP-4. New pump was disassembled at local repair facility. Suction bell and diffuser blasted and coated with Belzona® 1321 internally and Belzona® 5811 externally.
Belzona Facts
City personnel were very unhappy with the short service life of original vertical storm water pump. To protect the new pump from the damaging effects of the erosion corrosion cycle, Belzona coatings were applied. The new pump was retired after 10years of successful service to replace it with a larger pump. An after service inspection revealed that 100% of the Belzona® 5811 was intact and 95+% of the Belzona® 1321 was intact.
