Application Situation:

Parapet Walls on Crematorium Chapel of Remembrance

 
 

Problem:

Aging mortar for masonry and brickwork had become porous. Water was persistently penetrating the structure, creating damp areas on internal walls. The Council wished to retain the original appearance of the structure.

Belzona® 5122 (Clear Cladding Concentrate)

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet WPA-8. Once the brickwork had been repointed, all parapet wall areas were protected with a single coat of Belzona® 5122.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

The contractor has used Belzona repeatedly to offer premium weather protection on porous masonry.  Belzona® 5122 offered water repellent surface which was ideal for this building where they required to retain a natural look to the masonry surface.
