Problem: A valve located at the base of the tank was leaking. Terminal personal had attempted to seal the leak using an off the shelf water activated fiberglass wrap. They were unsuccessful. And the valve continued to leak.

Application Situation
Diesel storage tank located at a terminal of a major oil company
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzoa Know-How System Leaflet VPF-11a. the failed fiberglass wrap was removed, the surface was prepared before wrapping the live leak with Belzona® 1221 and Belzona® 9341 (Reinforcement Tape).
Belzona Facts
Welding was not an option because the valve was located too close to the base weld of the tank. The entire Belzona repair was completed in less than an hour.
