Belzona® 3111 (Flexible Membrane)

Problem: The original roof had been protected with Belzona® 3111 but new extension was suffering from leaks due to attack from bird litter and excrement which was chemically attacking the plastic coated steel sections. It is possible to see the corrosion on the extension, but not on the area that was originally coated with Belzona® 3111. Original application refurbished to provide further 15 years service life.

Application Situation
Steel corrugated pitched roof with large channel gutters running the length of the roof. The roof had several pipe penetrations, ventilation ducts and rooflight. The original roof was protected in 1990 by the local Authorized Contractor.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets RPA-1 and RPA-6.
Belzona Facts
5 year inspection in 2010 shows both applications in excellent condition and client reported zero leaks after the harshest winters in 40 years.
