  1. Following surface preparation by grit blasting, columns and beams were moved by rail to an environmentally-controlled application area.  
  2. Belzona® 5811 brushed and eventually troweled to a smooth finish.  
  3. All beams, columns and plates coated with Belzona® 5811. They were then pre-assembled at the fabrication warehouse to check tolerances.

Structural steel supports of paper machine operate in a wet, corrosive environment.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How Leaflet TCC-5.
Belzona Facts
Belzona® 5811 will provide extremely long-term protection of the steel structure. The product is specified for the second phase of a major rebuild. Installation of this new equipment has resulted in the production of their best paper ever.
