Problem: Heavy vehiculer traffic over the highway caused concrete underneath the armor angle to crumble.

  1. Removal of armor angle using acetylene torch.  
  2. Expansion joint after the removal of the armor angle. Concrete deterioration was clearly visible.  
  3. Styrofoam guides in place prior to application of Belzona products.  
  4. Belzona® 4111 was force cured using pipes cut in half to contain heat from portable heaters.

Application Method
The application was carried out following a modified version of Belzona Know-How Leaflet FPA-5.

Belzona® 4111 already had proven itself able to withstand heavy vehicles and pounding from highway traffic. All necessary surface preparation and application was carried out between 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. ready for the early morning traffic.
