Problem: Worn keyways on the truck which moves the crane on the rails. The conventional method to solve this problem would be to machine new bases and keys. Entailing the crane being shut down for 3 to 4 days.

Worn keyways.
Application Method
A template with new key stock was made. The template was coated with Belzona® Release Agent and positioned beneath the cranes pedestal. Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal) was then applied.

Twenty-four hours later the Ore bridge was back in operation, preventing a 3 to 4 day shutdown to weld and machine a new keyway.
