Problem: Corrosion as well as erosion deteriorated the entire internal surface of this sludge water piping structure. This pipework transports sludge water from the sedimentation tanks to the digester.

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets VPF-1 and VPF-2.
Belzona Facts
Belzona® 5811 (Immersion Grade) is perfectly suited to resist mild erosion coupled with H2S attack. Replacing piping can be very difficult if the new section does not line up with the old flange face.
