Belzona® Seals Spy Glasses In Vessel

Application Situation:

Two spy glasses in process vessel (ion exchange).

 
 

Problem:

Corrosion had occurred at the spy glasses caused by the Hydrochloric acid used during the regeneration process.

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5. After grit blasting the surface and protecting areas where Belzona should not adhere (nuts, bolts, cover) with two coats of Belzona® 9411 (Release Agent) Belzona® 4301 applied to rebuild lost profiles, restore corrosion protection allowing the site glasses to be effectively sealed. .  

 
 

Belzona Facts:

This application was carried out in-situ minimising downtime and disruptions to the client facilities and operations. Belzona® 4301 provides complete resistance to all concentrations of the Hydrochloric acid (up to 35%) used
