Belzona® Rebuilds And Protects This Suction Pump End Plate

Application Situation:

Alkaline extraction pump end plate.

 
 

Problem:

This end suction pump carrying a combination of medium consistency stock, alkaline medium, and chlorine carry over at 70°C, eroded and corroded the end plate of this pump. The pump was no longer able to move the required volume of liquid per batch.

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP-3 and CEP-5.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

Alkaline extraction pumps operate at approximately 70°C (158°F) and suffer from a combination of chlorine and caustic attack at 12-15% medium stock consistency.
