Application Situation
500m long and 1.5m diameter Raw Water pipeline loaded with millscale.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-2.
Belzona Facts
Following a trial over several months, competing with an alternative solution (which did not last), Belzona 4111 was chosen to protect the lower sections of the pipeline. Its fast cure speed reduced the repair duration. The application was carried out over 5 years: 100m/year (45 buckets/year). After the inspections carried out in 2000, 2001 and in 2002, the product is still in perfect condition. To aid access/application steps were created with Belzona 4111 in a skloping section of the pipeline.
