Application Situation
Fly ash fan moves fly ash from a lower hopper into one at an upper level of the plant.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets FBC-2 and FBC-5.
Belzona Facts
The fan impeller had a life expectancy of 3 months and costs $1,300. The housing had a life expectancy of one year and costs $3,000. After one year of service following the Belzona application, the fan was opened up and inspected. The impeller was 90% perfect and the housing was 100% perfect. The impeller was re-coated in June 2003, the housing remains perfect. This application has saved the customer over $15,000 in less than two years.
