Belzona® Protects Pump Plinth

Problem:

98% Sulphuric acid leaking from the pump had damaged the grout between the acid resistant tiles and attacked the concrete beneath.

 
 

Products:

Belzona® 4111 (Magma - Quartz)

Belzona® 4341 (Magma CR4)

 

Substrate:

Concrete

 
 

Application Method:

After removing the tiles and damaged concrete the plinth was rebuilt to the original size with Belzona® 4111. Two coats of Belzona® 4341 were then applied to offer long term, hot acid protection of the plinth.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

The Belzona solution provides a seamless barrier to the acids and has no weak spots. Belzona® 4341 can resist up to 75% H2SO4 at 90°C.
