Application Situation:

Bottom of the hull.



The bottom of the hull had been attacked by leaking battery acid. Also while docked another vessel had collided with the yacht damaging its hull.



Belzona 4111 (Magma Quartz)

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FPA-1.


Belzona Facts:

This project illustrates the versatility and use of Belzona products while providing a long term solution to both problems. The high bond value and no shrinkage characteristics of the products made it the ideal choice for this repair.

  1. The concrete hull had been damaged by leaking battery acid
  2. After neutralizing and preparing the area with a grinder rebuilding with Belzona 4111 began
  3. During the repairs hull was damaged
  4. Hull repaired with Belzona 4111 and then sanded down to smooth finish before repainting.
