Problem: The trays of the filter press (4 parts) showed abrasion wear, which caused inefficiency in the production process, increased the humidity of the final product and the use of compressed air, and wore out the other components of the filter. Fluid: water and ore at room temperature (≤ 40°C).

Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet GSS-1. Surfaces were prepared by dry abrasive blasting. After cleaning, the surfaces of worn areas were repaired with Belzona 2131. For the elastomer application molds were made and Belzona 9411 was applied to facilitate their removal after initial cure of the elastomer.
Belzona Facts
Belzona 2131 offered flexibility, abrasion and hardness resistance. The repair of the existing trays eliminated the accumulation of scraps on the area and reduced maintenance costs (part replacement).
