Belzona® Repairs Leak On Hvac Cooling Tower

Application Situation:

HVAC cooling tower for the main building of a retirement community.

 
 

Problem:

Corrosion on the floor and joints of the HVAC cooling tower caused water to leak out during operation. It was feared that the leakage would cause a shut down of the air conditioning during hot summer months.

Belzona 3121 (MR7)

Belzona 5811 (Immersion Grade)

 

Substrate:

Steel

 
 

Application Method:

The surface was prepared by blast cleaning the steel to a near white metal finish. The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets TCC-5 & RPA-1.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

A new replacement tower would cost 5 times more than repairing the leak.
