Application Situation:

Fiberglass outlet pipe on tank developed a new leak. Sulfuric acid in steam.

 
 

Problem:

Sulfuric acid fumes were causing health and Sstety issues as well as destroying the pipe outlet on the fiberglass tank.

Belzona® 1221 (E-Metal)

Belzona® 1291 (ES-Metal)

Belzona® 5811 (Immersion Grade)

 

Substrate:

Fiberglass

 
 

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-11a

 
 

Belzona Facts:

Replacement tank was not available and would have caused production to cease. Other options were available but not at a moments notice. Belzona Products & Systems have produced excellent results at this plant in the past through significant reductions in downtime.
