Rock Crusher Bearing Housing Rebuilt With Belzona

Bearing housing worn oversize.

 
 

Problem:

The bearing seized causing the housing to become oversized.

Belzona 1111 (Super Metal)

Application Method:

Tabs were welded on to center the new bearing. 'Bondo' was used to fill the grease groove in the new bearing. The new bearing housing was formed one half at a time. Even with the Release Agent the 'Bondo' stuck to Belzona 1111. After the new housing was complete the 'Bondo' was removed with a chisel. The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet ENC-3b.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

The only alternative was to replace the Jaw Crusher at a considerable expense.
