Problem: The fan moves hot, moist, particulate laden exhaust air from the dryers. The hot air erodes the replaceable hardened steel blade faces while the swirling mixture erodes the back faces of the fan blades, compromising its structural and strength.

Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FBC-1 and FBC-2.
Belzona Facts
Using Belzona 1811 to fare in and smooth the blade back help to reduce the swirl effect and protect the blade. On the blade faces, Belzona 1391 acts as a sacrificial coating and has proven to almost double the service life of the AR plate. It is planned to reapply Belzona 1391, when necessary, in situ to extend the service life even further.
