Belzona® Restores Lift Station Pump

Application Situation:

The customer was experiencing noticeable vibration coupled with reduced pumping capacity.

 
 

Problem:

The suspected damaged pump was removed, disassembled and blasted to show the extent of erosion and cavitation.

 
 

Products:

Belzona 1111 (Super Metal)

Belzona 1321 (Ceramic S-Metal)

 

Substrate:

Cast steel

 
 

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP-3 and CEP-5. Eroded areas were rebuilt with Belzona 1111 and then coated with Belzona 1321. Both materials were applied by hand with the supplied applicators.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

The pump has gone back into service without vibration problems and the pumping efficiency has been restored.
