Problem: The pipeline is used as a monolithic dielectric joint. The pipeline's diameter varied between 8 and 24 inches and individual lengths up to 10m. The carbon steel substrate required protection against chemical and abrasive attack at elevated temperatures.

Application Situation
One of the global leaders in the Engineering & Construction and Drilling businesses with a strong bias towards Oil and Gas related activities required internal protection of a pipeline.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-2 using spin spray application equipment.
Belzona Facts
The coating was applied in a single layer 1200-1400 microns thick without sagging, thus avoiding the cost of a second coat application. In addition, Belzona 1381 facilitates savings in raw materials, as carbon steel can be used in place of special metal alloy.
