Application Situation
Road sweeper box.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-3 for repairing/renewing damaged linings. A high powered pressure washer was used to prepare and clean the inside of the sweeper box. Belzona 6111 was spray applied to the surface as the first coat. Within the recommended overcoat time, Belzona 5111 was spray applied as the second coat.
Belzona Facts
Belzona 6111 will not allow rust to creep at damaged areas and was applied to protect the unit from corrosion. Belzona 6111 can be sprayed or brush applied and contains 90% or more of high purity zinc content in the dry film, assuring ultimate cathodic protection. Belzona 5111 protects the unit from the abrasive action of the grit picked up off the streets. An additional benefit from using Belzona 5111 was that it aids the cleaning of the dust box after each shift. Belzona 5111 is a two-part coating designed for long term protection of metallic and non-metallic surfaces against physical, chemical and bacterial attack.
