Application Situation:

Flare drum handling hydrocarbons, sludge, flare gas and potential HF contamination. Operating temperature of 100°C to 120°C with steam out at 220°C. Design pressure is 3,5 bar/g, operating - 0,2 bar/g

 
 

Problem:

Severe corrosion occurring in base of drum where previous glass flake lining system had failed in service.

Belzona 1523

 

Substrate:

Carbon steel

 
 

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

The application took just two days to complete. Heating equipment was used to minimise downtime.
