Problem: Wooden decking areas in the playground became very slippery in certain conditions. There had been an injury claim against the school so they wanted to retro-fit a grip system to make it safer for the children.

Application Method

The application was a modified version of Belzona system leaflet FPA-8. Belzona 9211 was incorporated into the Belzona 5811 and injected along selected grooves before being blinded with more aggregate.

Belzona Facts

The application was completed in one day with over 200m of grip installed over seven areas. This was more cost-effective and less disruptive than a replacement.
