Problem: Rain water and moisture seeps into the ground and into the wind turbine structure through the base around the tower structure. This over time affects the concrete base and propagates cracks and corrosion at the base of the tower. In this case the current coating failed due to UV degredation leading to delamination from the concrete surface.

Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona System Leaflet WPA-1. 
Belzona Facts
Belzona 3111 was a great and easy way to seal the base of the structure and the  concrete.The application was simple to do and gave the Customer that extra flexibility in that area. Short of sealing with some type of concrete filler they had few options for this problem. Sealing the tank base with Belzona 3111 proved to be a cost-effective solution with minimall downtime and interruption to the operation of the turbine.
