Problem: Oil Reservoir located circularly around the wind turbine tower is leaking at the bottom through the concrete and treads into the sealing under it. The oil is being lost and some concrete loss/damage has been sustained over time because of the leaking.

Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona System Leaflet TCC-1. The oil was emptied out, the area in the reservoir and under it in the lower floor sealing was thouroughly cleaned. The damaged concrete area was rebuilt with Belzona 4141 using Belzona 4911 for proper adhesion. Belzona 1321 was then poured into the reservoir up to 4 inches from the bottom to seal off any leaks from the concrete or treads to the sealing below.
Belzona Facts
The Customer was pleased with Belzona products being able to fix the whole problem with minimal downtime. An alternative option available to the Customer was to seal the leaking area with new concrete and to reuild the damaged with new concrete also. However, the Customer did not belive that was a feasible option.
