Caterpillar 631 Engine Repaired With Belzona

Application Situation:

Traces of engine coolant appeared in the lubricating oil test samples indicating erosion in wall of cylinder block

 
 

Problem:

A previous repair with "Brand X" epoxy failed. The owner took it to his own shop & did the work.

Belzona® 1311 (Ceramic R-Metal)

Application Method:

Application carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet ENC-6.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

This is a Caterpillar approved repair for a cavitated engine blocks and has been successfully completed many times on these and Komatsu engines. The Cat dealer declined to do the Belzona repair, claiming that the "brand X" failed repair proved that another such repair couldnt be done & wanted to sell a new engine block.
