Problem: Vertical weld was found to be very porous and fuel oil was weeping from a 2 mm through wall defect. No corrosion or thin wall area was detected. Defect was located at 30 feet from the ground level.

Application Situation
220 foot diameter 56 foot high storage tank containing fuel oil at 140°F max. temperature.
Application Method
SuperWrap composite system was applied in compliance with ISO/TS 24817 and ASME PCC-2. Belzona® Superwrap composite repair system was applied at 10 mm thickness and over a 100 x 355mm area.
Belzona Facts
The repair was completed without resort to hotwork. Belzona® Superwrap System was inspected in 2010 and found to be in perfect condition.
