BELZONA REPAIRS THE BASE DRIVE OF A COKE MILL

KHIA ID: 4895
Industry: Mining & Quarrying (MINQ)
Application: FPA-Floor Problem Areas (FPA)
Substrate: Concrete (base) and Steel (metal structure)
Customer Location: Aluminum Producer, MA, Brazil
Application Date: July 2006
Products:

Belzona 4111 (Magma-Quartz)

Belzona 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner)

Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin)

Problem: The leveling grout of the mill’s base drive was crushed, cracked and had loss of a section. Because of that, the equipment lost partial support area, which increased the pressure on the horizontal and vertical load anchors. Consequently, anchors sheared over time, which increased the vibration of the equipment.
