Problem:

Erosion/corrosion damages on the outlet section due to high temperatures (110°C), water injection and acid contaminated flue gas.

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP-3,CEP-5 and SHM-7.

Belzona Facts:

No other effective alternative available. Stainless steel cladding was fit on the most damaged sections using Belzona® 1311 to provide further protection. Inspection after 6 months and 2,000 working hours of the unit reviewed only slight discolouration and loss of gloss. According to this application method five compressors have been protected in the plant.
