Problem: Vessel has a titanium insert in domed base and is also refractory brick lined. A void 1-20mm beneath insert allowed it to crack at start-up.

Application Situation
Carbon steel flash vessels operating at 250°C and 20 bar pressure.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet GSS-9.

Alternative to these Belzona applications was replacement with new Titanium vessels at a cost of nearly $1 million. Belzona solution less than 1/10th the cost and completed to tight deadlines.
