Application Situation:

Lime Slurry Injection pipeline within the wet FGD scrubber

Problem:

Limestone slurry is injected through the nozzles. This falls on the GRP pipeline connecting the nozzles causing holes

Application Method:

Application carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-11a. Belzona® 1812 used to repair holes then overcoated with Belzona® 1391

Belzona Facts:

Originally Belzona® 1311 used to repair pipes but after 2 years Belzona® 1391 worn away and part of the Belzona® 1311 exposed. Redone with Belzona® 1812. This system performed significantly better and after 2 years was reported to be more than 80% intact.
