Problem: Incorrect maintenance caused cracks to develop in several tanks and leakages of acid onto the floor. Every tank costs more than 15000 USD. Two of the tanks lost their integrity as both had large parts of wall broken off and were ready to be condemned.

Application Situation
Polymer concrete tanks reinforced with fiberglass containing 22% sulfuric acid at 60°C in water treatment shop.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets TCC-7 & -9.
Belzona Facts
On the completion of the repairs the tank was tested under load and did not show any traces of leakage. After 3 year operation tank is in excellent condition. Total job took two weeks and customers spent 6000 USD on it.
