Problem: Previous product used gave limited results. Extensive rebuilding of the concrete was needed to allow the containment area to drain to the center sump. This to be followed by an overall protective coating.

Application Situation
850 sq.ft. secondary containment area for 98% Sulfuric acid.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-9 & 15. Concrete was rebuilt to create falls to central sump. All area then protected with Belzona 4311.
Belzona Facts
Replacement of the concrete containment area was not an option due to extensive downtime the company was not willing to allow. Belzona was nominated for its materials performance and prompt service from the technical Consultant. Lab tests showed Belzona 4311 OK after 2 weeks in acid whereas earlier used product did not survive 48 hours.
