Application Method
In accordance with Belzona Know-How Leaflet CEP-3. The casing and vanes were blast cleaned and the existing lining material (tar epoxy) peeled off. Belzona® 1341 was applied by airless spray. The coating was then tested for pinholes.
Belzona Facts
The customer could have had the casing and vanes recovered in tar epoxy which would have been cheaper, but this type of material is not enviromentally friendly. The major benefit is the extension of the life of the casing which is irreplaceable.
