Application Situation:

Agitator in settling tank of wastewater treatment station in a sugar beet mill

 
 

Problem:

Abrasive solids in settling tank caused erosion on the surface of the agitator blades.

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How Leaflet FBC-1.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

When damage is due primarily to abrasion, the recommended solution is to rebuild and coat with the Belzona® Ceramic Metal System respectively. The Belzona® 2000 Series Elastomeric Polymers also may be used when impact and abrasion are the contributing factors.
