Problem: Carbon Steel was lasting less than 1 year and down time was a continuous problem in the plant. A lining which would take the wear from corn and soyabean was needed.

Application Method
Applications were carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-13. After grit blasting the newly fabricated chutes, spouts, and mixing blades, 1/2 inch of Belzona® 1812 was applied to the wear areas.

Belzona has doubled and in some cases tripled the life of the equipment. Previous linings had delaminated and contaminated the product.
