Photograph Descriptions
  1. The portable birthing center
  2. Floor prior to coating with walls taped off
  3. Finished Belzona® 5811 flooring application
Application Situation
Charitable members of a Texas church were fabricating a portable birthing trailer that would eventually be shipped to Guatemala in an effort to offer a sanitary medical facility for use in an impoverished area that suffered from a high birthing mortality rate.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FPA-3. The walls were taped off approximately 2 inches up the vertical edge, sanded, cleaned then coated with two coats of Belzona® 5811 with minimal Surefoot aggregate added during the first coat process.
Belzona Facts
This product was donated through the Belzona Houston Distributorship and one of its Consultants at no cost to the church mission organization. An alternative to 5811 was to purchase an inferior floor coating from a hardware store which would not have had the same trouble-free application or long-lasting result.
