Cavitated Pump Diffuser Restored With Belzona

Application Situation:

Theme park pond pump performing below requirements.

Problem:

Cavitation had caused severe metal loss to pump impeller and diffuser. New impeller was available but no diffuser available.

Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal)

Substrate:

Cast Iron

Application Method:

Application wascarried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet CEP-1. Pump shop tack welded "rebar" into deeply cavitated areas. Belzona® 1111 applied to replace lost metal. Belzona machined to original diffuser dimensions.

Belzona Facts:

Old pump and new diffuser not available. $450 of Belzona used to quickly and effectively repair this valuable component.
