The basalt tile lining suffered severe abrasion during pulp separation and as a result a lot of broken edges and cracked tiles were present.



Belzona® 1811 (Ceramic Carbide)



Basalt tiles, carbon steel and stainless steel


Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-7. Belzona® 1811 was applied to restore surface profile and to produce as smooth as possible surface.


Belzona Facts:

Replacing the broken and cracked tiles was not an option due to cost and time constraints. Belzona was choosen for its fast and in-expensive application. whole repair was done within 48-hour period thus restoring an even surface profile with similar abrasion resistance compared to basalt.
