Belzona Facts
The contractor completed the work throughout the night and under a tight schedule. 9Kg of Belzona® 1111 was used with a purpose built clamp to recreate the original shaft profile of 280mm diameter. The preparation and application took only 2.5 hours, followed by a 5 hour cure period using heating pads to accelerate the cure. The blast furnace was returned to service with minimum downtime and to the complete satisfaction of the client.
