Belzona® Restores Hydrogen Cooler Ends

Application Situation:

Hydrogen seals are found on either end of the generators and seal hydrogen cooling gas from escaping.

 
 

Problem:

Seals had become out of round and as a result gas leaks had started.

Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal)

Carbon Steel

 
 

Application Method:

Application carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet MPT-9. Units are set up on a turntable and Belzona applied to rebuild groove before being re-machined to tolerance.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

Each of these hydrogen rings, depending on size, range from $80K to $120K. These repairs cost under $3K per unit complete. In addition to these savings the Belzona is approved for these applications.
