Problem: Due to the high cost of the new rubbing strip and the high cost of the boat being out of use, the client required a fast repair to put the boat back into service.

Application Situation
Rubbing strip on Rigid Inflatable (RIB) pilot boat.
Application Method
Application carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SOS-12. after preparing underside of rubbing strip and counterface on hull, the strip was positioned, spacers were used to ensure a level fit, and taped into place until Belzona cured.
Belzona Facts
The only alternative was to remove the complete rubbing strip from the boat tube and glue on a new one. This would have mean possible damage to the tube costing thousands of pounds.
