Inspection showed that the reinforcement fabric had not been damaged. | | | Products:Belzona® 2111 (D&A Hi-Build Elastomer) | | | Substrate:Rubber and exposed fabric reinforcement | | | Application Method:Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SOS-12. | | | Belzona Facts:A typical 8" OS&D hose can cost $3500 depending on length. Superficial damage, meaning damage to cover only, is common when dragged over docks and railings. The Coast Guard, however, can require these hoses be retired from service. If there is no damage to the reinforcement fabrics, a Belzona® 2111 patch system, when fully documented with before and after pictures, has been accepted by the USCG. These specific patches cost approx $1200 in material and labor. 5 patches were installed on three hoses saving the customer approx $11,000 in replacement costs | | | Photographs Description
