Problem: New extension was suffering from leaks due to attack from bird litter and excrement which was chemically attacking the plastic coated steel sections.

Application Situation
Steel corrugated pitched roof with large channel gutters running the length of the roof. The roof had several pipe penetrations, ventilation ducts and rooflights.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets RPA-1 & -6.
Belzona Facts
The original roof was completed in 1990 by the local Authorized Contractor. It was possible to see corrosion as a result of bird litter on sheets of the new extension but on the Belzona® 3111 Membrane System it has had no effect on performance although a wash would make it more aesthetically pleasing. As a result of the success on the original roof, the extended building was then encapsulated and the existing system refurbished to provide a further 15 years life.
