Problem: Sulfuric acid is injected into the cooling water to stop M.I.C. (microbiological induced corrosion). This severely damaged the concrete due to chemical attack and erosion three to four inches deep.

Although unplanned, the work was completed within the plant outage. The customer was impressed that this permanent repair was completed within a short time frame and during adverse cold weather.
